How verification works
Breeders submit documents privately. Authorized BreederDex reviewers evaluate the submitted material and may award specific badges describing what was reviewed.
Badges are specific
- Identity verified: the account holder’s identity was reviewed.
- Contact verified: public contact information was confirmed.
- Business verified: business or organization documentation was reviewed.
- Registration reviewed: registration or pedigree documentation was reviewed.
- Health testing supplied: health-testing documentation was supplied for review.
What verification does not mean
A badge is not an endorsement, license, inspection, guarantee of animal health, or guarantee of a transaction. Documents and circumstances can change. Users should independently confirm current credentials, veterinary records, contracts, payment terms, and applicable laws.
Status can change
BreederDex may request more information, reject a submission, remove badges, suspend verification, or moderate a profile when information is incomplete, outdated, or raises a safety concern.
