BreederDex organizes information and contact—not transactions. Take time to independently evaluate every breeder and animal.

Before paying

• Confirm the breeder’s identity, address, phone number, and current credentials.
• Ask for current veterinary, health-testing, registration, and parentage records where applicable.
• Review a written contract, refund terms, health guarantees, and return policy.
• Be cautious of urgency, unusual payment demands, copied photos, or refusal to speak live.

Before meeting

• Tell someone where you are going and meet safely.
• Where practical, see the animal and living conditions directly or through a live video call.
• Consult a veterinarian and research the breed’s health and care requirements.

Report concerns

Signed-in users can confidentially report profiles and reviews to BreederDex. For immediate danger, suspected cruelty, or criminal activity, contact local animal control or emergency services directly.
